Make your Home the Most Inviting!
Have you ever been to one of those houses, where you felt uncomfortable and bothered?
I guess we all have! The best part of having a house is to make it into a home. A home that guests enjoy visiting and most importantly a home that you enjoy relaxing in and creating your own unique memories.
We've got some tips to try that will help you craft a home that welcomes everyone who walks through its doors — though warning, it may make them never want to leave!
Let your front door and entryway set the inviting tone first
Don't underestimate the inviting power of some good curb appeal. A quick cleaning to the entry and a bright friendly floor mat will do the trick. We're also suckers for cute signs by the front door that say "hello." You can also add some green to make it fresh and vibrant like a big green leafy plant.
Use color and other design tricks to pull eyes through your space
Adding some accent walls to your interior will give the home a new look.
Make getting into your seating arrangement and around your furniture easy
The more furniture you have in your home, the smaller your space becomes. You need to be able to move around freely, without having to move any pieces.
The idea is to make moving through your home — getting from the front door to comfy seating areas, the kitchen, the bathroom and more — obstacle-less.
Go way overboard with leafy, long, trailing, green fluffy crazy plants
Adding plants brings life to you and your home.
Look for comfy and not fancy
You shouldn’t care about how fancy your furniture is, you should make sure you buy furniture that is comfy for you to use and for guests to enjoy. At the end of the day, you need to relish your late-night coffee or wine, on a soft piece of furniture.
Personalize at least one furniture piece
Your home does not have to look like a picture from the magazine. Make it your own. Add your creativity, your touch and style to make it one of a kind.
Sprinkle unique design details around the house
Again it's about creating a space that feels like you and is full of details — even tiny — that make a space feel full, sophisticated and like it's giving out stylish hugs.
Make storage
If you have a lot of clutter, make sure that you put that away. Nothing worse than having a mess beside you or on the floor. The cleaner, the better!
Have some good smells floating in the air
Or at the very least don't have any bad smells. Use some candles, open the windows, use air refreshers or even place some flowers or plants.
